Mark your calendars. The
next Annual SAFMLS Meeting in San Diego, California from 22 March to 25 March 2010 at the
Town & Country Resort (please do not use this link to to make hotel reservations - please see the reservations section below). The theme this year is
“Have Lab - Will Travel.” The Town & Country Resort is a great location for our world-class annual meeting. Transportation from the International Airport is an easy 15 minute shuttle or taxi ride (both cost around $25 one way). The resort has plenty of parking ($14 a night for hotel guests or $3 for the first hour and $2 per hour thereafter with a maximum of $16 per day for those not staying in the hotel). Centrally located, the Resort is just a short ride to many city attactions including
Sea World, the
San Diego Zoo,
Old Town San Diego, the
Gaslamp Quarter,
Seaport Village, and many others. Check back in late Fall for the latest information and registration.

The President's Reception will only be open to members in good standing (e.g., dues paid up through 2010). Dues must be paid by 1 Jan 2010.

There will be an enlisted poster award, in addition to the clinical and research categories. The enlisted poster can be in either research or clinical area of interest. The first author must be an enlisted member of SAFMLS in good standing to win the award.

Vendors will be offered the opportunity to present workshops and short topics at this year's meeting, and many have already expressed interest. What this means to you is that our deadline for submission may not be pushed back as it has been in previous years. Please get your materials ready now!
